Terms of Use
The rules for using Raja to shop and Taja to sell.
Who we are
Raja is a marketplace run by Raja in Lagos, Nigeria. Vendors sell on Raja using Taja, our vendor app. Raja is not the seller of items listed by vendors; the vendor is.
Your account
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Keep your phone and codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
You must be at least 18 to sell, and at least 18 or have a parent's permission to buy.
Buying
Prices are in naira. Checkout shows the item price, any agreed offer, and a small service fee before you pay. The service fee keeps Buyer Protection running.
Paying on Raja gives you Buyer Protection. Paying a vendor outside Raja does not.
Selling
Vendors also agree to the Vendor Agreement.
What you must not do
- List or buy anything on the Prohibited Items list.
- Ask a buyer or vendor to pay or be paid outside Raja to avoid fees or protection.
- Lie about who you are, what you sell, or what happened with an order.
- Harass anyone, send spam, or try to break or misuse the app.
We can remove listings, hold payouts, or close accounts that break these rules.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Raja safe, but we don't make the items vendors sell. Apart from Buyer Protection and what the law requires, we are not responsible for losses caused by vendors, buyers, delivery companies, or outages we can't control.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by SMS before it applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes go to the courts of Lagos State.
