Buyer Protection

When you pay on Raja, the vendor is only paid once your order has reached you.

How your money is kept safe

You pay Raja, not the vendor. We hold the money until we know your order arrived.

  • Delivered to you: you get a 4-digit delivery code. The vendor is paid only when the person receiving the order gives the code.
  • Sent by waybill or bus: the vendor uploads the waybill. You have 72 hours after the expected arrival to tell us if something is wrong.
  • Handed over with a photo: you have 48 hours to tell us if something is wrong.

Never share your delivery code before you have the order in your hands.

What's covered

  • The order never arrived.
  • You got something different from what was listed or agreed in chat.
  • The item arrived damaged or doesn't work.

Only payments made on Raja are covered. If you pay a vendor by bank transfer or cash outside Raja, we can't protect you.

How to report a problem

Open your order and tap Report a problem before the order completes. Add photos if you can.

We reply within 24 hours. We look at the chat, the photos, the waybill and the delivery record, and we may ask both of you for more.

Refunds

If we decide in your favour, you get back the full amount you paid, including the service fee, to the card or account you paid with. Paystack usually takes 3 to 10 working days.

We may ask you to send the item back before the refund, at the vendor's cost if the vendor was at fault.
